Bee Zee
Of late, I have been pretty busy with my varsity stuff. The tutorials just keep on piling and I am starting to get lost in lectures. Oh man.. That totally sucks.. So far, I have been quite lucky with my tutors. Majority of them are quite cool and there are no tutors who speak with weird indian accents.. Haha.. It seems study fatigue is setting in and it's still early in the semester! hahaha... Oh well.. Have to be nerd again this weekend... However, this weekend is gonna be quite a busy one for me.. So I'll see how it goes... NY Soccer is on tomorrow! yeah! so I finally get to play some soccer after a 2 week hiatus. Haha.. time to show off my silky samba skills, many people even say I look like Nakata when I play. haha.
Anyway I've just finish reading the papers.. (yes yes, I only managed to finish Straits Times at 12.10am the next day... haha) ANYWAY, I read that APPARENTLY, THE INTERNATIONAL ASTRONOMICAL UNION has stripped PLUTO of it's planetary status! which means PLUTO is not a planet anymore!! So now, our solar system has only 8 planets instead of the initial nine. That's so bo liao. Hahah.. Even worse! Pluto has been downgraded from a planet to a "dwarf planet". That totally sucks man.. Demotion. haha.
Imagine you were like CEO of Multi National Company then suddenly due to "corporate restructuring" you now become Shop Keeper Balestier Blk 769 Corner Mama Shop. Haha.. Super Sian man..
All the primary school science syallbus have to change too.. Worse hit are those good attentive students like me when I was a cute young kid, when people say i look like Nakata. I still recall the cool and catchy phrase I was taught in Primary School.
"My Very Educated Mother Just Showed Us Nine Planets."
which has been rendered useless now by the new cock planetary ruling. haha.
Ok for all you un-cool people out there, who did not study in Marist Primary, who's wondering what "stupid" phrase was that, it actually is a very helpful statement in recalling the order of the 9 planets in our Solar system.
"Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto" Tada!
My science teacher would be so proud. Now that Pluto been removed, the cool sentence does not really make much sense now.. Boo... Imagine next time, when you show off and teach your children basic astronomy then you teach them THE phrase but soon after they come back with their "PETS textbook" and show you 8 planets.. haha. Super Lau Kui...
Perhaps the sentence can make more sense if it was re-phrased to like "My Very Educated Mother Just Showed Us Neh-nehs" or something. whahahahahahahahhaha... but seriously teach your child that and you confirm 5 strokes of the cane and custody of your children can go to the state. hahaha... Of course what I meant was "My Very Educated Mother Just Showed Us Nouns/Nitrogen/Noodles or whatever la" haha... ok. I'm quite shag already la.. too tired to crap anymore. Think my whole post is peppered with Singlish terms.. haha.
Oh well... Apologies to the 85 million readers reading from overseas.
Had an epiphany at 12:28 am.
