Sunny Saturdays

Well... Soccer with the guys got cancelled this morning at the eleventh hour. Insufficient players again. How disappointing. I was looking forward to it as well. As we move further and further away from World Cup Germany 2006, our soccer sessions have been on an exponential decline. Where is the Passion? Where is the Fire? More importantly, Where is the Manpower! haha. Friends, lets have a soccer session in the near future please. I am not getting any skinnier.

The empty NYJC court says it all. The only thing on the court happens to be Marcus' soccer ball.

Moving along, this week has been rather slack for me. After one gruelling week of Sports Camp this was a well needed break. No timings, no deadlines, just nua-ing and preparing for Uni the whole week.

Life has been pretty good... fattening too... haha...

Of course I did more than eating in my build-up towards University life. I went for my NTU Orientation talk too! Wow! The talk was held in a huge auditorium where Nerds, Freaks and Geeks happened to be the dressing theme for that day! I was not informed!!! Well, the Dean for my faculty looks pretty cool for a bald man and speaks with a unique honky plus accent acquire from the states. He has this cool factor that the other Professors and Lecturers did not. The other profs were all in the dressing theme though, maybe that's why.

There's the cool Prof giving his welcome speech. The lighting in the picture was just about the same as the actual. With the magnified screen and the spot light fixated on the talking prof, there was little to do except listen or sleep. Inevitably, I succumbed to the latter(for at most 10 mins though). Haha. Other than that, the buffet spread after the talk was quite sad too... Met a few NSPIs though.. Got more friends in the same school!!!

Here is just an example of another Prof. Totally in sync with the Theme for the talk. So hip! Can be NTU Idol!!!

SINGAPORE IDOL, SERIOUSLY!?!?!?!?!
Last I heard, this Jay guy got voted out. In the looks department he might not be the best but his vocals are pretty good compared to the rest of the Singapore Idols. Seems like the whole show setup was worse than the previous season. What happen to our government's "Moving Forward" slogan?
Anyway, this Judge Jacintha is another headache. Her comments are abstract, far from constructive, she stutters, and basically just jarrs the whole momentum of the show.
Also, that brave young gentleman Joakim whom I thought would never make it past the first round is still in. SERIOUSLY???
I've not caught the Singapore Idol shows for 3 weeks already and I dont think there's anything I'll be missing.
